IT"S A GIRL!!!!!!!!

O.K I guess peanut wasn't the right choice of words. Here's our little chunkie monkey.Just check out that smirk - she actually has dimples if you look hard enough. The serious picture she is just saying "hey look at me, I'm going to teach you how to use that computer in 5 years mommie"

We cannot explain the emotions that are going through us right now. Kirk is looking at the measurements and then measuring his arm to see the difference..........I'm laughing my ass off right now. His arm is an inch bigger than her head. Ohhhhh we can't wait to see the peanut.

Here's what we know
Chinese Name: Hai Xiao Shan
Hai Xiao Shan ( Little Mountain)
Orphanage: Nan Hai
City: Foshan
Province: Guangdong
D.O.B: Feb 28/06
August 31st: She was 14 pounds and 25 inches tall. Sounds like a peanut
Personality: Active, very restless and is attached to one caregiver

Can't wait to get the pictures. We should have them in the next hour!!!!!

The Chosen Heart

Longing for a child to love,
I'd wish upon the stars above.
In my heart I always knew
A part of me was meant for you.

I think how happy we will be,
Once I adopt you, and you adopt me.

I dream of all the joy you'll bring,
Imagining even the littlest things.
The way it will feel to hold you tight,
And tuck you in every night.

The drawing on the refrigerator door,
And childhood toys across the floor.
The favorite stories read again and again,
And hours of games with make-believe friends.

The day you took my outstretched hand,
A journey ended, but our lives began.
Still mesmerized by your sweet face,
Still warmed inside by our first embrace.

I promised to give you a happy home,
And a loving family all your own.
A house you've now made complete,
With laughter, smiles, and tiny feet.

A parent is one who guides the way,
Know I will be there everyday.
Rest easy as each night you sleep,
A lifetime of love is yours to keep.

Longing for a child to love,
I'd wish upon the stars above.
In my heart I always knew,
A part of me belonged to you.

Debbie,

Me again!

She is SO CUTE!!!!!!!!!! I don't think she looks like a chunky monkey at all! You want to see a chunkey monkey (or Chunk-a-Monk as we lovingly call her) you need to see my Allison! :-)

I think your baby looks like a peanut. So cute! Congrats again!

OMG!! That is one cute baby! She's adorable, those cheeks and that little mouth! So cute! Now, if you thought the wait for the referral was long, it's NOTHING compared to the wait for the TA and then the wait to actually get on the plane. And then you know what wait is the absolute longest ever? The 2 hours before you actually go to pick her up. That wait seems to last forever. I can't wait to see a family picture!

Oh My God Debbie, She is just beautiful. She has that great spikey hair like Isabelle did at that age. They told us in China that it meant that she was full of fire and temper and she sure was, is ! She's strong and fiesty and I'm sure Olivia will be as well. Congratulations to you both.
