And I thought I took up alot of space

We just set up this baby pen today to see where the heck we were going to put it. We had to re-arrange the living room, but eventually we figured out a spot for it. It's directly accross from the kitchen so it works out perfect. I can see her even when I'm slaving in the kitchen (for the ones who know me, stop laughing) Apparently these little people eat ALOT and the like that home cooked stuff.

So we just started buying toys and the place already looks full. I can only imagine once she actually gets here and we figure out what we really need to occupy her. Ahhh, I bet she's worth every cent :-)

Our house will never look the same and I LOVE IT!!!!!

*****Notice where the computer is, think that will stay there long??*****

At least you're a step ahead of us. We had to get a new house after Lucy came home. She filled our old one very quickly!!

A play yard is one thing I have not bought as yet. I keep deluding myself into thinking this kiddo is going to know what is okay to touch and what is not. Even with the babyproofing, I'll be in for wake-up call ;0)

Connie - is that what they are called "play yard" I had no clue and just thought it was like the old play pens so I gave it my own name. Yes I'm from Newfoundland...... Us newfie's eh - we always have that excuse :-)

Looks great! What fun to be setting your house up for Olivia's arrival. Is it becoming more real?

I think once I start babyproofing my place I'm going to borrow a friend's toddler to see what I've missed. :o)

As for the computer...umm nope! Unless you like sticky keys and a smudgy screen. Can't wait!!

Congrats..it won't be long now! Yeah!!!

I love it! Olivia's gonna love those toys - and computer keys! :) I'm finding it really hard to babyproof again now that we have two older children and they have their own little toys. Lots of fun!

Playpens are passe and deemed unacceptable to use today. Therefore they are renamed playyards and continue to be sold. Needed mine 40 yrs ago and I bet my daughter will need one when she brings her Abby home. How exciting for you to be nearing the end of your wait. Sherry Mc in Va.

Very exciting! You should also take some toys and leave them strewn about. You'll get used to stepping on and tripping over them - by the time you bring her home, you'll limit the explative to mere mumbles.

Oh and completely unrelated... where did you get your ottoman? I've been looking for one in those exact colors!
